We're not going back
On November 11, 2024 a majority of American citizens choose as our next president a candidate that has demonstrated contempt for American traditions of democracy, decency, freedom, and inclusion. For the next two years the Maga movement will have control of the Presidency, the Senate, and the House of Representatives.
The danger to democracy is clear. Donald Trump and his Maga coalition have laid out their plans in writing in their manifesto titled “Mandate for Leadership, The Conservative Promise”. Touted as a return to fundamental Christian conservative values the reality is dark. In Project 2025 Explained, the ACLU lays out the primary goals as follows;
Severely limit abortion access nationwide by reversing the FDA’s approval of mifepristone, a drug used in medication abortion, and reviving a 19th century law, the Comstock Act, to ban any abortion medications, equipment, or materials from being sent through the U.S. Postal Service.
Target immigrant communities through mass deportations and raids, ending birthright citizenship, separating families, and dismantling our nation’s asylum system.
Violate the First Amendment by using federal law enforcement to target journalists and protestors.
Abuse executive power to interfere in our elections by criminalizing the voting process and damaging fair representation.
Our mission is to resist this descent to authoritarianism by shining a light on the plans and actions of the Maga movement, countering Maga propaganda, and communicating an alternative based on the constitution and American ideals.
If successful, we will gain control of the Senate and House of Representatives in the 2026 mid-term elections and then the presidency in 2028. In the mean time the fight will continue in the courts, states, and by freedom fighters from all walks of life.
This is no time to despair, run, or surrender. We have been here before and defeated similar opponents. In the words of Kamala Harris “when we fight, we win”, so lets get to work.
