Are there no red lines, are there no limits?

A masterful response to the attack on our Democracy

In a recent speech at the confirmation hearing for Russell Vought, Angus King delivered a powerful speech that shouldn’t be necessary. Speaking to his Republican Trumpublican colleagues he reminded them of their oath to defend our Constitution, which he described as under “the most direct and consequential assault in our nation’s history” by the trump/musk administration. It reminded me of the speech by Joseph Welch during the televised Army-McCarthy hearings which ended Joseph McCarthy’s red scare campaign.

Angus King’s speech is a damning indictment and should be seen by every American who believes in our Constitution and Democracy. Maybe it can have the same effect. Share it widely.
